The aim is to connect lovable dogs from local animal shelters with their forever families. This week, Bec & Asa caught up with Dakota Power, Digital Marketing Coordinator for the Dogs’ Refuge Home in Shenton Park, to introduce us to one very special boy – Cap’N Crunch.
Introducing Cap‘N Crunch
Cap’N Crunch isn’t a breakfast cereal – though he’s just as delightful! He’s a six-year-old shepherd mix who’s captured the hearts of everyone at the shelter. Dakota describes him as “smart, loving, and maybe a little lazy.”
“He’s definitely a bit of a homebody,” she shared. “He loves a quiet day in, some snacks, and a good cuddle afterwards.” If that sounds like your ideal Sunday afternoon, you might have just found your pawfect match.
Life with Cap‘N Crunch
Cap’N Crunch is what Dakota calls a “senior-ish gentleman” – still full of life, but happy to take things slow. “He loves short, calm walks where he can take his time and sniff around,” she said. “Then he’s ready to head home and have a nap.”
He’s currently living in one of the refuge’s offices and has become something of a staff favourite. “Everyone absolutely adores him,” Dakota said. “He’s had wonderful feedback from his foster homes – they all describe him as incredibly sweet and affectionate.”
