We’re so excited to welcome Jas Chamberlain to the Sonshine on-air team as our brand-new Saturday Afternoons host, on air from 3–6pm every Saturday.
At just 19, Jas already has plenty of radio experience under her belt – and even more enthusiasm for connecting with people and sharing the hope of Jesus. She describes herself as someone who “looooveeee[s] to talk (probably too much haha) and absolutely loves Jesus!” – which sounds like the perfect combination for spending your Saturday afternoons with Sonshine.
Before joining our team in Perth, Jas was announcing at a radio station in New South Wales and serving at her local church. Now, she’s ready to bring her warmth, energy, and passion to the Sonshine community.
We sat down with Jas to get to know her a little better…
1. Who’s in your family?
My amazing Mum and Dad, older sister, brother-in-law and a soon-to-be first little niece or nephew! 🙂
2. Coffee or tea?
Both, but it’s probably not best to talk to me before I’ve had my morning coffee lol.
3. Dogs or cats?
Definitely dogs!
4. Favourite football team?
I try not to answer that question at the moment haha… but the West Coast Eagles.
5. Favourite thing to do in your spare time?
I love to read, bake, and hang with friends.
6. What are you looking forward to the most about being part of the Sonshine team?
I’m most looking forward to being surrounded by an amazing bunch of people who all believe in the same thing as me and are passionate about making an impact. I can’t wait to jump on air and hopefully make people’s days just a little bit brighter.
You can catch Jas every Saturday afternoon from 3–6pm – playing great music, sharing encouraging stories, and helping you make the most of your weekend.
