It’s Pawfect Match time again, and this fortnight Bec & Asa caught up with Dakota Power, Digital Marketing Coordinator at the Shenton Park Dog’s Refuge Home. And before we introduce you to today’s lucky bachelorette, we’re thrilled to share some good news!

Bono has officially found love!
Our tall, lanky bachelor from last time has been adopted by a wonderful family who were searching for a playful adventure buddy. We’re so happy for him!

But today, there’s a new contestant stepping into the spotlight: Haste – a joyful, energetic one-year-old mixed-breed girl with a whole lot of love to give.

A Puppy at Heart (and in Age!)

At just one year old, Haste is still very much a puppy – full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and a zest for life. Dakota describes her as “full of joy and lots of playful energy.” She loves learning, loves being involved, and loves being by the side of her future humans.

Always Ready for the Next Adventure

If your idea of a perfect weekend includes the great outdoors, Haste may be your soulmate.

According to Dakota, Haste adores:

  • Trips to the beach
  • Splashing in water
  • Heading out camping
  • Going on hikes
  • And pretty much any activity where she can tag along

She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just tolerate adventure – she thrives on it.

Her Love Language? Play, Play, Play

Haste enjoys cuddles, of course – but at her core, she’s a play-driven girl. Toys? She loves them. Plushies? Even better. Trips to the beach and a basket full of toys? The dream.

As Asa joked during the chat, it sounds like her love language might be “gift-giving”… or perhaps “gift-receiving!”

Great with Families (Especially Up for a Bit of Fun!)

Haste would do brilliantly in a family with older kids – the kind who can join her adventures, help with her training, and keep her busy with games and activities. She’s sweet-natured and affectionate, and Dakota says she would suit “a lot of homes.”

Must Love Dogs… Because She Does!

If your household already includes a dog, that’s a big plus. In fact, it’s a requirement for Haste. She must go to a home with another dog, because she absolutely adores canine company. A “doggy brother,” as Dakota put it, would be her perfect partner in fun.

Well… let’s say the jury is still out. But dogs? 100% yes.
