Join Sonshine live this weekend! It’s shaping up to be a huge weekend for us, with two exciting outside broadcasts happening across Perth’s beautiful northern suburbs — and we’d love for you to come and say hi!
Saturday 11th October – Walk for Freedom, Mullaloo Beach
First up, on Saturday morning, we’d love for you to join Sonshine at Tom Simpson Park, Mullaloo. We are teaming up with Woodvale Baptist Church and Every Daughter Matters to support their annual Walk for Freedom event.
Lockie will be broadcasting live from 9am to midday, bringing all the action, conversation and community spirit straight from the beach.
If you haven’t heard of the before, Every Daughter Matters is an Australian-based organisation working to raise awareness, prevention and support for those impacted by human trafficking and exploitation. Their mission is to bring freedom, hope and dignity to every daughter — everywhere. To learn more about their powerful work you can visit everydaughtermatters.org.au.
So, why not come down, enjoy the morning sunshine, grab a Sonshine t-shirt, hat or other merchandise, and show your support for this inspiring cause? This will be a great opportunity to connect with the community and be part of something meaningful.
Sunday 12th October – Alkimos Free Family Fun Day
Then on Sunday, the fun continues as Leah and Dan from Sonshine’s Brekky Show, along with Pastor Izzy from Bible Breakdown, head to Alkimos Primary School Oval for the Alkimos Free Family Fun Day, hosted by Courageous Church.
This is a free, family-friendly celebration of local families and coastal community life — and you’re invited!
There’ll be plenty to enjoy, including:
- 🎨 Free face painting
- ⚽ Free come-and-try sports sessions
- 👕 Free op shop
- 🌭 Free community BBQ
Meanwhile, Lockie will be broadcasting live again, from 10am to noon, so you can tune in, stop by our marquee, and even go in the draw for fun prizes. Plus, you can pick up Sonshine merchandise to wear proudly around town!
