Asa from Drive sat down with event co-ordinator Jiji George, to talk about the impact of Gloria Perth.
The Heart of Gloria
This is the second year they will run the event and Jiji was so excited to share the mission behind it.
“The heart behind Gloria Perth was to bring the city under the main of Jesus and to create an evening where the whole community can come together, celebrate Jesus, who is the true reason for this season. It is a joyful Christmas celebration in the heart of the city.”
The Need for Christ
Jiji explained that there is so much of need in the community.
“We live in a broken world and there’s only so much we can do in our physical realm to fix it, you know. But then when the light got transformed by the love of Jesus, our world turns around more than we turning the world around, the world turns around for us.”
Share the Love of Jesus
We are all in need of the calming voice of Jesus.
“So glory of birth is actually our way of sharing the love of Jesus with the community and pointing them to the Savior who’s the way, the truth and the life,” said Jiji.
What To Expect at the Event
Jiji was excited to share the line-up, from live music, testimonies, heart melting performances from children. Carols, a nativity skit and more.
Come Early and Bring Your Voice
“It’s a free event, friendly, friendly evening,” said Jiji. She advised coming early to grab a good spot. Bring some candlelight for the carol and your singing voices. “No pressure to stay the whole evening. Be comfortable wherever you want to be.”
Forrest Chase is the Place
The event will run on Saturday November 29th from 5pm at Forrest Chase in Perth CBD.
Jump in, enjoy the evening and feel the presence of God in your life. That’s the whole purpose.
