Stepping into the Sandals of Jesus
“No pressure,” Rob joked when asked about preparing for the role of Jesus. “It’s an iconic character, and I wanted to bring authenticity while also making it my own.” Performing every night can be exhausting, but Rob shared how he channels his energy: “It’s about being present. Each night is different because the audience is different. Their energy fuels me.“
Judas: More Than Just a Villain
For Javon King, playing Judas is a dream come true. “I’ve never been a villain before, and while Judas is often seen as the bad guy, I see him differently,” he explained. “He was trying to do what he thought was best for Jesus.“
One of the most challenging moments for Javon is his death scene. “Every night, portraying that regret and emotional turmoil is intense. It’s hard, but it’s crucial to the story.“
