I want to share with you that I have decided it is the perfect time for me to finish my stewardship as CEO of Sonshine.

This may sound strange to some, and others may understand that it’s a rare privilege for a CEO to leave an organization when it’s doing so well. With your partnership we have set Sonshine up for its next chapter in so many ways. It is in a secure financial position after June appeal to start the new financial year. We have a strong and experienced leadership group and a great team of staff and volunteers who are all on the same page with vision and mission, and excited about what God is doing through Sonshine. We are more connected to community and having more impact, in Jesus’ name, than ever before.

I have given everything I can for the last 13 years and I feel proud of what Sonshine has become, from such a low point in 2011 to now being a connected media ministry impacting more people in WA more than ever before.

I have learnt so much about myself, leadership and who God is over the last 13 years. I know that God directs the right people at the right time. I believe that God has the next leader in mind who will bring fresh energy and be able to move Sonshine even closer to where He intends. As I’ve told many people in the last few years that having a strong supportive board has been the difference in Sonshine’s growth and integrity that many ministries and organisations envy. I am also so proud and confident in our leadership at Sonshine.

God directed me in a miraculous intervening way in 2011, and from day one I’ve known that Sonshine depends on God and never one person. God led, the board and I followed, and we saw amazing things and stories happen.

Thank you for stewarding Sonshine with me. It really has felt like being part of a big family with a perfect Father.

My thanks go to the Sonshine board who are supporting me to find my next career role. I won’t be leaving immediately as I want to make sure the transition is ordered and honouring.  Can you pray that God shows me my next chapter soon?

Thank you and God bless you and your family,

Bevan
