Retro Art Workshop

Join Curate for a truly retro experience, perfect for all ages.
Participants will be provided with retro LPs to make one-of-a-kind artworks.
Ticket includes art workshop materials, including LP and paint pens.
Each participant will take home their own artwork.
Participants should wear old clothes and/or bring a smock.
Workshop suitable for all, from the complete novice to the more experienced artist.
Workshop sessions are capped at 4 participants per session, in order to ensure the best possible experience.
Venue is accessible, however does not feature accessible toilets nor baby changing facilities.
We do not offer refunds; however, we do permit re-bookings on a case-by-case basis.

MumCo

Kids’ Free Paint Art Session

Join Curate for a free, kid-friendly painting experience for 4-12 year olds.
(Children under 13 years of age should be accompanied by a parent and/or responsible caregiver.)
What you paint is up to your own imagination, with each artist choosing their own subject.
Our experienced workshop facilitator will be on hand to refresh your brush cleaner, swap out brushes and keep the area tidy throughout the session.
You will be free to paint at your own pace. You may use the whole 45 minutes of the session or paint at a quicker pace.
Ticket includes art workshop materials, including 1 canvas, acrylic paints and use of paintbrushes.
Each participant will take home their own artwork.
Participants should wear old clothes and/or bring a smock.
Workshop suitable for all, from the complete novice to the more experienced artist.
Workshop sessions are capped at 4 participants per session, in order to ensure the best possible experience.

Join Curate these school holidays for a Musical Pinwheels workshop.
You will cut and fold recycled sheet music into these low-fi wonders.
A great nostalgic intergenerational workshop for all ages.
(Children under 13 years should be accompanied by a parent or responsible caregiver.)

Each participant will take home their own artwork.

For our participants' safety, our facilitator will handle the pins and hot glue required to secure the pins.

Night to Shine

Northside Community Church is thrilled to be hosting “Night to Shine” on Saturday 8 February 2025, a free event, where people with special needs, aged 14 and older, will experience an evening like no other - full of joy and celebration.

Every guest of Night to Shine enters on a red carpet, complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Guests receive the royal treatment, including photo opportunities with luxury cars, corsages, boutonnieres, catered dinner, mocktails, gift bag and a dance floor… all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned King or Queen.

Each guest will be paired with a social buddy/friend for the dinner and dance. A family member and/or caregiver will also be welcomed at the venue and have special access to additional areas to relax and enjoy the night.

For those needing a quiet moment throughout the evening, a calming sensory room will be available.
