It’s been an exciting year for Sonshine as we celebrated our 35th birthday, launched a refreshed look and feel to our branding, released our new app and website, and have continued to grow our online presence with new podcasts! We also engaged with a range of charities, locally and nationally, who make a positive impact in people’s lives and share the positive message of hope in Jesus. We can only do this thanks to our amazing Sonshine family, who donate sacrificially throughout the year to support the work we do.

How we’ve made an impact

We’ve been pleased to lead or actively participate in the following initiatives during the past financial year. These have made a difference to thousands of people here in Perth and around the world!

Heart for the Homeless – Sonshine listeners donated over 8,200 items to help those sleeping rough in our community. Including 240 sleeping bags, 1000 pairs of socks, 1400 toothbrushes and around 900 warm winter clothing items.

Miracles Day – Sonshine listeners donated 1379 sight-saving surgeries to people living in poverty.

Watering Day – Sonshine listeners provided donations to build water wells for 22,800 people through Water for Africa, providing clean, safe drinking water for life!

Christmas giveaways – over 140 prizes were given away.

Devotionals – 507 people receive our daily Lifewords devotional straight to their inbox

Prayer – Sonshine staff and volunteers have personally responded to and prayed for over 120 people who requested prayer

Free Coffee Fridays – Approximately 300 coffees were given away as part of seven events at local schools, cafes and in the community.

Sonshine App – 2,076 people across 85 different countries have tuned into Sonshine and Sonshine Extra, listened to our podcasts and watched our YouTube content through the brand-new Sonshine App.

Countless listeners were impacted by weekly guests giving advice on parenting, relationships, pets, legal, gardening and a range of other issues.

We’ve also been able to reach more than 250,000 listeners and more than 240,000 website and social media viewers each month with the hope of Jesus. Through uplifting on-air music and programs, faith-building devotionals, engaging community events, and encouraging online content. Thank you for making all of this possible!
