It’s a bittersweet moment for all of us at Sonshine as our vibrant, talented, Kiwi-accented drive-time announcer hangs up his headphones for the last time. For over seven years, Jeziel has been the heart and soul of our afternoon show and although he’s not leaving us, he is moving into a new role, as Sonshine’s new Content Director! This means Bec will still get to see her best friend every day, but sadly he won’t be able to talk to you, the Sonshine Family, every afternoon.

But before he embarks on this next adventure, we’re throwing a spectacular event to celebrate his remarkable impact on the airwaves and our lives – because seven years is a long time! In 2017 Wee Jeziel came to us fresh out of the mines and captained the Drive Show solo before meeting his first co-host Mel Hallsworth. A few years later Bec Jones came along, and in between all of that, he got married, and became a dad, and shared all of that with us! So we’re inviting all of you, our cherished listeners, supporters, and Family, to join us in saying a fond farewell and celebrating the legacy Jeziel leaves behind.

Join us for free mini golf at Hi Voltage to celebrate Jeziel’s last day on air
