Ephesians 3:20,21 With God’s power working in us, he can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever. Amen.
With all that’s going on in your heart and mind, with all that’s going on in your life, with everything that’s going on in the world around you, do you ever feel … powerless? I mean, completely powerless? You’re not alone.
Hey, there are times when I feel powerless too. We all do. Things that are completely beyond us set themselves up against us, so that not only do they feel impossible to overcome, but they also threaten to consume us.
Yesterday we chatted about the trillions of stars in the heavens. Today, let’s take a look at just one of those – our sun. Each second, the sun produces 384.6 septillion watts of power. Put another way, that’s the same as one billion 1.82 billion times the power of the largest nuclear bomb ever built.
Yet our sun is but a moderately sized star amongst a trillion trillion that we know about. And God created them all. So when we talk about God’s power … well, think big. Really, really big.
Ephesians 3:20,21 With God’s power working in us, he can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever. Amen.
When we feel powerless, God has more than enough – way more than enough – power to confront anything we may be dealing with. And with that power – His power – working in us, He can do much, much more than anything we can even begin to think of or ask for.
And when that happens … to Him be all the glory.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
