Coldplay is giving one WA artist the opportunity of a lifetime by allowing them to be the opening act for their concerts at Optus Stadium.

]A competition has been launched to find the next best talent from our State, promising to give them $15,000 and massive exposure by playing to 120,000 fans over two nights in November.

Anyone over the age of 16 from WA can be in the running by sending them a video of themselves playing an original song live. The winner will receive the money before their two big performances in a grant from the WA Government Contemporary Music Fund to develop their career through recording, marketing and touring.

The singers have promised to pick the winner themselves after industry experts and their team whittle down the finalists. The competition closes in just two weeks on September 4 and a winner will be declared on October 2.
