The annual Pink Ribbon Ride is happening on the 8th of October to raise awareness and funds for those affected by breast cancer.

Director Mark Pobjoy has been part of the Pink Ribbon Ride for over a decade. “Anyone on two wheels, from a big custom trike band or postie bike and everything in between, that’s so cool. We get riders from all over Perth, a lot of different clubs and riding groups.”

In the past couple of years, they’ve ridden from Rockingham to Fremantle and then headed up into the hills in Rollystone. But this year, they’re mixing it up and leaving from Rockingham, along the Rockingham foreshore then up the coast, and down through the Fremantle café strip.

There’s no particular dress code, but everyone has fun dressing up and decorating their bikes. “You see these big burly bikers dressed in pink, with pink wigs and pink ribbons all over their bikes. Because of that, we have prizes for the best bike, the best dress-up and the best couple. We try to give back to the people who put in a good effort.”
